o r e w o r d With the third largest Job Fair in Europe and the most prestigious one of the Central-European region organized twice a year at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) - we would like to create an opportunity for companies and fresh graduates/young professionals of technology, science, economics and finance to meet and get into contact with each other. The 2008 Autumn BME Job Fair will be held in the main building ( K ) of BME on 29 and 30 October 2008. 7 8 thousand visitors high professional and service standards services developed utilising 15 years of organising experiences intensive and efficient opportunity for meeting jobseekers wide-spread advertisement of the event via the most important media actors ambitious jobseekers with higher education degrees equipped with thorough theoretical knowledge 3-weeks preparatory programme for more determined, more active jobseekers widespread information of freshly graduated professionals and the graduates of higher education institutions throughout and outside the country Deadline of application: 26 September 2008. i s i t o r s o f t h e J o b F a i r According to a thorough survey we conducted during the 2008 Spring BME Job Fair, 57% of the visitors were (ex)students of the BME. Other university/college students majoring in technology/economics coming from 31 different institutions also showed significant interest in the job fair. At the time of the job fair nearly 80% of the visitors were earning a first degree, 20% of them were already graduated At every Job Fair the present companies are evaluating our work by questionnaires. The majority of our exhibitors are very satisfied year-by-year with our event, our publications, our services and also with the contact keeping. The proposals made by our partners were taken into account even at the planning period; we intend to fulfill all the arisen demands and claims. Participation at the Job Fair O O T H S At the Job Fair booths will be set up in various sizes and forms, furthermore we offer a variety of appearance opportunities to the participating companies. The designs can be consulted at the homepage of the Job fair: www.jobfair.bme.hu. The participation fee indicated on the Order Form includes the followings: selected booth with standard service (standard service includes a number of tables, chairs and information desks suitable for the size of the booth (at least one lockable desk), wireless internet access, a carpet, lighting, electricity access, flower decoration, a dustbin and a uniform booth banner. On demand we can of course provide various extra equipments and services (e.g. broad-band cable Internet access, cabinets, shelves attachable to the booth walls, brochure holders, barstools, interview and stogare cabins etc.) information page in the Job Fair Guidebook and on the homepage of the Job Fair, with a direct hyperlink pointing to your company s homepage, hostess- and buffet-service, warm lunch for both days (1 person / day / every 2m2 of the booth), rotating playback of one or more short movies not longer than 120 seconds in the most frequented place, at the main-door cloakroom, one free parking place in the exhibitors parking area office services (photocopying, printing, fax, e-mail) during the exhibition. we provide wireless internet access for one computer per booth (we cannot guarantee the speed and quality of the connection), broad-band cabel internet access with 100 Mbit speed can be ordered In order to maintain the uniform look of the Job Fair exhibition area, the organizers centrally prepare the booth and the booth banners as well. The only exceptions are the in-time ordered and discussed booth banners! In certain cases we can offer unique stand designs. If you are interested, please contact us.
Participation at the Job Fair a i n e x t r a s e r v i c e s a t t h e b o o t h Interview cabin: this is to allow an undisturbed discussion with applicants, away from the rush of the Job Fair (with the floorspace of 4 m2, equipped with a table, 3 chairs, table decoration, dustbin, wall clock, carpet, lighting, frieze label). Storage room: if your publications, brochures, or other equipments don t fit into your booth, on demand we will have a 2 m2 storage room ready for you. Booth accessories: we offer a variety of accessories helping to present your company: cabinets of different sizes, brochure holders, internet connection to reach your homepage online etc. Individual booth name: those exhibitors, who prefer to order individual booth banners, can decide to make their own or make us prepare it based on their graphical plans. Please, indicate your preference on the order form. Colour of booth carpet: the booth price includes grey carpet, however we can offer different colours if there is a demand. Please, indicate your preference on the order form. Office services, meals The Business Centre provides access to fax and photocopy machines and the Internet (up to our resources). Our hostesses will regularly serve you coffee, sandwiches, soft drinks, fruits and cakes at your booth. The price of the booth includes warm lunch for 1 person per day per 2m2 of your booth. Additional lunches can be ordered at the order form. Parking There are significantly less than sufficient parking places in the close surroundings of the BME, thus, we provide all our exhibitors with a free parking place for one car (included in the standard service). If you plan to arrive with more than one vehicle, please reserve the extra parking places in advance. Because of the construction of the subway line 4 on Gellért square, one part of the parking places are available at the ulterior buildings of the university.

One information page is included in the standard service. If you wish to have your logo beside your company s name in the publications and on the homepage, please send as a CMYK mode picture of at least 300 dpi resolution (e.g. in.tif format), or in.eps or.ps format. May you order advertisement page(s), please send the creative material as a CMYK mode picture of at least 300 dpi resolution (e.g. in.tif format), or in.eps or.ps format. Print parameters: Ad size (with bleed): 168 x 238 mm Cut size: 162 x 232 mm Mirror size: 142 x 212 mm In case you re not able to send the material according to the above parameters, please let us know as soon as possible. We can take care of the graphical realization and printing preparation of the advertisement pages upon agreement (the basic participation fee only includes the folio preparation charges). Participation at the Job Fair The homepage of BME Job Fair www.jobfair.bme.hu We offer the opportunity to appear on the homepage of the event with an information page and link as well as with banners. Due to the links on the information page and the banners appearing in 4 different places, those visiting our website will easily find your homepage and will therefore receive even more information of your company. O M E P A G E We place banners on the header (size: 468 x 60 pixel) and both side (size: 120 x 240 pixel) of our homepage, showing up in an equally weighed rotation; operation datas (count of appearings, hits, etc.) are going to be sent automatically to our ordering partners in periods of 2 weeks. Banner parameters: Header of webpage: 768 x 60 (landscape), max. 35 kb Side of webpage: 120x 240 (portrait), max. 35 kb Short movie(s) We also offer the opportunity for each participant to introduce the company with one or more short movie(s) not longer than 120 seconds to give a sample of the company s life to job hunters in the most frequented place, at the main-door. Topic of these can be e.g. introduction or advertisement of the company s products. Please send us your film on CD or via FTP, in.mpeg or.avi format. This service is free of charge to all exhibitors with booth. Overrunning the 120 seconds every started minute raises the fee with HUF 5.000. We are not able to accept movies longer than 10 minutes. o m p a n y p r e s e n t a t i o n Participation at the Job Fair We also provide an opportunity for introduction of companies participating in the Job Fair in the form of corporate presentations. In these events, jobseekers can get an insight into the life of our exhibitors, may receive specific information on ideas, development plans and positions to be filled. The conversations after the presentations provide an excellent opportunity to establish contacts. We have the possibility to organise 14 corporate presentations (45 minutes each), therefore we can only provide 1 presentation for each of our exhibitors. Your concerning demands in this matter will be fulfilled in order of application. p e c i a l a p p e a r a n c e Our exhibitors are kindly requested to pursue any promotional activities at their booths only. We offer opoortunities to perform promotional activities at other places at the event if you had discussed it with us and ordered it beforehand. Our special offers are: Appearance in the farewell package of participating companies inserting your company logo at each page of the Job Fair Guidebook inserting your company logo at the promotional materials of the Job Fair (posters, flyers, maps etc.) you can pursue promotional activities in a specific area of the Job Fair (e.g. Business Center, cloakroom, restaurant etc.)
OW to apply Please fill in the Order Form and fax it to us. Booths are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so faster applicants may choose a more favourable booth to their needs. Continuing last years practice, applications arriving via telephone are welcome as well. However, mind that your application becomes finalized only if the complete Order Form is sent back. We would like to draw your attention to our policy of cancelling phone reservations if the Order Form doesn t arrive within 3 workdays. The information pages to be placed in the Job Fair Guidebook are only accepted in an electronic form on the www.jobfair.bme.hu/firm webpage. The necessary login name and password will be e-mailed to you after receiving your Order Form, so please, give extra attention to the spelling of your e-mail address! After confirming the application, we send our invoice for 50% of the ordered services before the event takes place. Please, transfer the required amount until the payment deadline. If you have such purchasing system at your company which requires the use of your own order number (e.g. we are to use your order number on our invoice), please after receiving our confirmation, send us your order sheet as well. If your company exhibited at the 2008 Spring Job Fair, you are entitled to a 5% discount of your total order! ayment
