Scope and Content of Collection This collection contains records of the confiscation, processing, and distribution of Jewish property in Hungary in 1944. It contains computation sheets, reports, and certificates about valuables taken from individuals who were deported in 1944 from the Trans Carpathian region, Bereg county and its neighboring places, and from the vicinity of Budapest. System of Arrangement The system of arrangement of the source repository has been preserved in the microfilmed reels, and generally the collection is arranged alphabetically by names of localities. Arranged in two series: Series 1. Records of the Kassa gendarmerie district about the belongings of the deported Jews. Geographical names are in alphabetical order (Reels 1 5); Series 2. Computed lists about the confiscated Jewish goods, 1944 (Reels 6 7).
