CGS uses Montessori teaching principles to present the most essential realities of the Catholic faith to even very young children. Specially designed materials and inspiring presentations help children explore areas of faith formation appropriate to their developmental age. The children experience a formation that is profoundly biblical, sacramental and prayerful. Please watch our video on the parish website, www.stangela.org, to learn about this amazing catechesis program. I pray you will consider supporting our mission of creating a new permanent space for the atrium or Catechesis classroom. We will all benefit from the strong faith of our next generation. CYO News St. Angela Merici Pro-Life ministry We are excited to announce our inaugural CYO Rose Rally For Life to be held here at St. Angela on Friday, July 26, 2019 beginning at 9:00 p.m. and running through to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. This event is similar to the Relay for Life events held here in past years, benefiting Hope Lodge run by the American Cancer Society. While that was certainly a worthy cause, we felt a need to be more proactive with prolife organizations here in our Archdiocese. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Woman s New Life Center, Access Pregnancy Centers and Rachel s Vineyard. Both The Woman s New Life Center and Access Pregnancy Centers provide free medical care and counseling services to women in need. Rachel s Vineyard provides healing to those who have been hurt by abortion. At this time we have 10 CYO s signed up to participate in this event! The event itself is only open to CYO members and adults. You may be wondering how you can help make this event successful. First, we ask for your prayers as we work to organize and prepare for the first CYO Rose Rally FOR Life. Pray for good weather and safe travel for all those attending. Secondly, we ask for your generous financial support of this endeavor. Included in this week s bulletin is a CYO Rose Rally FOR Life donation form. If you would like to donate please complete the form and drop it off at the parish office by July 24 th. CYO members will also be accepting donations outside church after all the masses on July 13 and 14. Checks should be made out to SAM CYO. For more information contact Diane Kratochvil at cyo@stangela.org or call 8350324 ext. 309. We come to you and ask you to take under your special protection the children God has given us. Through holy baptism they became children of God and members of His holy Church. We consecrate them to you today, that through this consecration they may become your foster children. Guard them, guide their steps in life, form their hearts after the hearts of Jesus and Mary. St. Joseph, who felt the tribulation and worry of a parent when the child Jesus was lost, protect our dear children for time and eternity. May you be their father and counsellor. Let them, like Jesus, grow in age as well as in wisdom and grace before God and men. Preserve them from the corruption of his world, and give us the grace one day to be united with them in Heaven forever. Amen. We are excited to announce our inaugural CYO Rose Rally For Life to be held here at St. 309. Support our new atrium project St. Angela Merici RCIA Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a hands on approach to learning about our faith and we are dedicated to finding a new home on campus to meet the needs of our whole parish family.
