Presentation of the former didactic activities: Between the main area of my pastoral engagement consisted in catechetics, being involved in the religious school education of the children in Odorheiu-Secuiesc, Ditrău and Tg- Mureş (20 hours weekly). In 1980 I was appointed university assistant at the Roman-catholic Theological Institute in Alba- Iulia, having opportunity to start the academic activity beginning with the academic year As a university lector, from the academic year I began to teach Patrology, Catechetics and Homiletics. In the same year I was meant to overtake the teaching of Church History, becoming the head-coordinator of this discipline. At the 24th of June 1982 I sustained my PhD theses at the Pázmány Péter Pontific Academy in Budapest. The PhD certificate was accredited by the Romanian Ministry of National Education. Beginning with the academic year , I was named university lecturer, and the next year I became university professor at the Roman-Catholic Theological Institute in Alba-Iulia. Parallel to the educational and pastoral service I took part intensively in scientific researches. The main topics of my scientific interests and papers focused on the vast area of Church History, Roman-Catholic Dioceses of Transilvania and Patrology. At the Roman-Catholic Teological Institute I was responsible for elaborating and realizing the spiritual training courses organized for priests. In addition, in 1990, - as the coordinator of educational projects, - I initiated the foundation of the Didactic Specialisation of the Roman- Catholic Faculty of Theology, within the structure of the Theological Institute in Alba-Iulia, holding

6 this assignement during the whole existence of this Faculty, till I have to mention that I have prepared and published a great number of didactic material aiming the improvement of religion teaching methods. Since 1997, I have become titular professor at the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj. In 1996, the Faculty of Roman-Catholic Theology was founded within the structures of the Babes-Bolyai University. In the phase of preparations, I assumed a decisive organizing role. As a result, I was proposed by the Archbishop of Alba-Iulia to become the dean of the Faculty, being confirmed also by the University Senate. After the foundation of the Teaching Staff of The Faculty of the Roman-Catholic Theology, my appointement was confirmed also by this forum. Due to the vote of the Teaching Staff and University Senate my mandate was renewed for another academic cycle ( ). Parallel to my institutional leading obligations I was involved in a permanent scientific research activity regarding various topics of Church History. Every year I take part in the coordination of bachelor, licence and master theses, as well as in the coordination of the fulfillment of Ist and IInd didactic degree theses. Since 1999, I am the scientific supervisor in the field of Church History. My graduated researchers are: James McMahon from the United States (2004), Zamfir Corinna (2005) and Tamási Zsolt (2006). Beginning with 2002, I regularly sustain classes for the Doctoral School organized together with the Faculty of Reformate Theology. Beginning with 1999, I have become also the coordinator of the Patrology Master Programme at the Faculty of Roman-Catholic Theology. I am also responsible for organizing and realizing the training courses for the Roman-Catholic religion teachers, held every year during the summers (including 48 hours), embracing different theological disciplines: Church History, Dogmatics, Liturgics, Moral Theology, Biblical Studies, supported by the Hungarian Union of Didactic Organisations.
