Raging bull A police patrol officer was on his regular patrol on Sunday morning when he responded to a call that a bull had escaped from a farm and was on the loose on the A30 in Dartmoor. Since the creature was running against the flow of traffic, and causing a danger to motorists, police decided to close the road at Whiddon Down. A vet was brought in to try to sedate the animal, but could not get close enough. At the same time a motorist found himself accidentally on the closed part of the road. The officer got out of his vehicle to shout to the motorist to keep going and not to stop. The bull also stopped and in a split second he turned and chased after the constable. The unfolding drama was filmed by a camera that was placed inside the police officer s stationary patrol car. 26
